Vietnam's Ministry of industry and Commerce (VCCI) announced that a delegation of more than 30 German companies will visit Vietnam early this month to seek opportunities for trade and investment in Vietnam.

The business delegation will be led by Klauss-Peter Guettler, Minister of economy, pportation and development of Germany Hessen.

German enterprises will find opportunities for trade and investment in the following areas: environment, waste and wastewater treatment, bicycles and bicycle accessories, packaging machines, pport air conditioning systems, bottle moulds and model parts production, metal alloys, information technology, finance and banking, trade consulting, laboratory facilities production and development, clothing and textiles, and information security systems.

The visit time is 5 days. From September 7th, German enterprises will participate in the Vietnam German business conference organized by VCCI. The aim is to help enterprises in the two countries to strengthen exchanges, share business experience, develop cooperation opportunities and promote bilateral economic and trade relations.

At the same time, VCCI will cooperate with the West Germany in capacity building and organize the Vietnam trade delegation to conduct a market inspection in Germany, from September 28th to October 4.

The market investigation will be carried out on the basis of the project framework. The goal of the project framework is to enhance the export capacity of Vietnam's small and medium-sized enterprises, and to promote the capability of project cooperation organizations, trade associations and Trade Development Service Organizations in the field of management and enterprise services.

Nguyen Minh Gon, a commercial counselor in Vietnam, said that Germany is a potential market for Vietnamese enterprises, and Vietnamese products are increasingly welcomed by German consumers.

Every year, about 230 Vietnamese products are exported directly or indirectly to Germany, including shoes, seafood, coffee, handicrafts, pottery and porcelain.

He suggested that in the current situation, Vietnamese enterprises should focus on exporting fist products instead of many products, which will help them expand their market share better.
