AATCC

After the publication of the 2004 edition of the technical manual of the American textile chemist and Dyer Association (AATCC TechnicalManual), the AATCC test method has been modified several times.

The final deadline for the 2005 issue of AATCC technical manual is up to May 2004.

The main changes in the 2005 edition of the AATCC technical manual are as follows:

(1) AATCC 8 - 2004, colour fastness to rubbing AATCC rubbing fastness tester

Revision: the standard gives another method of preparing wet friction specimen, increasing the allowable difference of the diameter of the new friction finger, and with the latest picture of the rubbing fastness tester.

(2) AATCC 16 - 2004, fastness to light.

Revision: the standard mentioned that the automatic electronic rating system can be used for rating purposes, provided that the system can provide the same results as those experienced seasoned ratings, and has the same or better repeatability and reproducibility.

(3) AATCC 20 - 2004, qualitative analysis of fiber.

Revision: the standard has revised the factors affecting the analysis of metal fiber K7 extraction finishing agent.

(4) AATCC 20A - 2004, fiber quantitative analysis.

Revision: the standard revised the factors affecting the analysis of fibers in the quantitative analysis of fibers.

(5) AATCC 30 - 2004, determination of the antifungal properties of textiles: anti mildew and antisepsis of textiles.

Revise and edit revisions: the standard has a more accurate description of the operation process of the detection method, increased the accuracy of the method, and corrected the Penicillium of organism according to the typical American strain Center (ATCC) to increase the ATCC's new address.

(6) AATCC 35 - 2004, determination of water resistance: rain test.

Edit revision: the standard has a more accurate description of the operation process of the detection method, and has increased the accuracy of the method.

(7) AATCC 42 - 2004, determination of water resistance: impact permeability test

Editor's revision: in the standard, the experimental dropper is no longer part of the experimental apparatus in the impact permeability experiment, so the experimental dropper clip is deleted.

(8) AATCC 100 - 2004, evaluation of antibacterial finishing agents for textile materials.

Revisions and editing revisions: the standard added the address of the typical American strain Center (ATCC).

(9) AATCC 10L - 2004, white fastness to hydrogen peroxide bleaching.

Revision: the standard expression is novel and accurate. The description of process 8.1, 8.1.1 and 9.1 is clearer and updated, and the material name provided by SDL Atlas is updated.

(10) AATCC 114 - 1999, loss of strength caused by residual chlorine: multiple products method

Editor's note: the Quadrafos reference is deleted in the standard method.

(11) AATCC 118 - 2002, oil repellency: Test for hydrocarbon resistance

Editor's revision: the standard changed the source of the liquid used in the experiment.

(12) AATCC 25 - 2004, color fastness to perspiration.

Revision: the standard adopted a new method to evaluate the color fastness of textiles after the simultaneous action of light and water.

The solutions used include common water, juice, swimming pool water and sea water.

The revision method is based on the research work of ATCC Association and ISO test experts.

Garment manufacturers in the United Kingdom and the United States have reported a lot of fading of the sweat stained fabrics in the sun, and this fabric has no obvious fading in the test of light fastness and sweat stain.

Therefore, a new test method is needed to detect the fading performance of these fabrics when exposed to light and sweat.

In this revision method, only the juice solution is used.

(13) AATCC 132 - 2004, dry cleaning buffalo skin.

Revision: the standard added multi fiber lining FA, FB and FAA in raw material part, and SDL Atlas company as raw material source.

(14) AATCC 147 - 2004: evaluation of antibacterial properties of textile materials: parallel stripe method

The revision of I Yang te Bian was revised. The standard changed the address of the American Standard bacterial Center (ATCC). The operation process of the detection method was more accurately described, and the accuracy of the method was increased.

(15) AATCC 174 - 1998, evaluation of the anti microbial activity of carpets.

Edit revision: the standard changed the address of the typical American strain Center (ATCC).

(16) AATCC 180 - 1997, high temperature fastness to light: Daylight Temperature Controller

SAE Automotive Materials Association is currently revising a test method similar to AATCCl80, which uses the accelerated radiation of SAEJ2229 interior decoration parts of outdoor glass.

SAEJ2229 has been used as a standard for five years, and the SAE Automotive Materials Association intends to update it. Since the association does not have the energy to manage double standards, it is proposed to cancel TMl80.

(17) AATCC 183 - 2004, determination of penetration or barrier properties of ultraviolet through fabric.

The amendment has increased the detection method of fabric wet condition.

(18) AATCC 19L - 2004, effect of acidic cellulase: upper open washer

After three years of assessment, it has been re examined and revised for the previous standard. The standard has more accurate description of the operation process of the detection method, increased the accuracy of the method, and updated the name of the raw material provided by SDLAtlas.

(19) AATCC 192 - 2004, the weathering test of textiles: the fluorescent lamps of dry and blended fabrics were re examined after three years of assessment.

(20) AATCC 193 - 2004, anti wettability: water / ethanol solution experiment

The new method is designed to detect the presence of fluorinated chemical agents or other compounds that reduce the total surface energy in various fabrics. This method evaluates the wettability of fabrics by selecting a series of water / ethanol solutions with different surface tension.

(21) in the 2005 edition of the AATCC technical manual, the following standards have been updated, revised, edited and revised. The operation process of the detection method has been described more accurately, and the accuracy of the method has been increased.
