Data show that in October, edible oil prices rose more obviously.

Affected by the continuous rise in oil prices in the international market, the retail prices of bulk soybean oil, rapeseed oil and 5 liters of bottled soybean blended oil and peanut oil were 4.74 yuan /500 grams, 5.29 yuan /500 grams, 53.50 yuan / barrel and 93.86 yuan / barrel respectively, which rose 4.41%, 3.73%, 1.49% and 2.45% respectively over September.


Vegetable prices showed seasonal increases.

In October, the average retail price of vegetables of 15 main varieties, including cucumber, tomato and rape, was 2.41 yuan per 500 grams, up 10.1% from last month.


In addition to the above foods, beef and mutton and chicken prices continued to rise slightly.

However, the price of meat and eggs has increased relatively steadily in the past few months.

Data show that in October, the average retail price of pork lean pork was 500 yuan per 500 grams in 36 large and medium-sized cities, up 0.57% from last month. The average retail price of eggs in large and medium-sized cities was 4.49 yuan per 500 grams, a 3.85% decrease from last month.


On the same day, the Ministry of Agriculture released monitoring data. Last week (October 25, 2010 to October 29th), the price of most agricultural products rose in the international market. Only a slight drop in the price of rice was observed. Cotton prices continued to rise, and the single week ring ratio rose 8% to 3245 dollars per ton.


In addition, the latest report released by the international cotton advisory board (ICAC) also showed that global cotton prices reached a record high in October.


The report points out that the index of Cotlook A, which reflects the spot price level of the international cotton market, reached 147 cents / pound in October 27th, breaking the record of 119.4 cents / pound in April 1995.
