At the 2011 Haining international textile creative design competition, the judges, senior craft artist, and Professor Tai Cheng, a special allowance expert from the State Council, were interviewed by the author.
Mr. Tai Cheng said, I have an idea that in fact, some unsuccessful home textile design works are also an innovative idea for designers.
Through a platform, we can see where the unsuccessful place may inspire other designers' design inspiration.
In the home textile creative competition, these works are not displayed to the outside world, so we can only see the winning works selected. This is a pity.
Mr. Tai Cheng also said that some of the more than 1 thousand designs are very novel and have prominent elements.
However, because the participants themselves are not good enough, or they are dealing with problems, they are not integrated with the market and production. The design works are not perfect, which affects the final effect and fails to win the prize.
In fact, some of the entries are still very good.
In the creative design competition, the proportion of the entries and institutions is more, and some authors are still competing for the first time.
Since the beginning, only a few colleges and universities have been involved. Dozens of colleges and universities still illustrate the development of home textile design.
