And the State Administration for Industry and Commerce jointly signed the memorandum of understanding on Sino US antitrust and antitrust cooperation with the Department of justice of the United States antitrust enforcement agency and the Federal Trade Commission in Beijing.


The memorandum has established a long-term cooperation framework between China's anti-monopoly law enforcement agencies and the United States antitrust agencies to promote more effective enforcement of competition laws and policies.

According to the memorandum, Sino US antitrust and anti trust enforcement agencies will strengthen cooperation in the following aspects: first, inform each other of their competitive policies and important developments in anti-monopoly enforcement; two, strengthen the capacity building of both sides through the development of competition policies and legal activities; three, exchange experiences in anti-monopoly law enforcement according to actual needs; four, make comments on the revision of anti-monopoly laws and related supporting legislative documents; five, exchange views on multilateral competition laws and policies; and six, exchange experiences in improving enterprises, other government agencies, and public competition policies and legal awareness.


Based on the results of the existing cooperation between China and the United States, the memorandum of understanding established a cooperation mechanism, enriched the content of cooperation, innovated the way of cooperation, and further deepened the cooperation between China and the United States in the field of anti-monopoly.
