Ethiopia will hold the leather trade fair in Africa in January next year. The Ministry of trade and industry announced that the African Leather Fair will be held in the Millennium Hall of Addisababa on January 2008 24-26.

Tadese Hare, Minister of state of the Ministry of trade and industry of Ethiopia, said that the Ethiopian government, Ethiopian MIDROC company and Ethiopia Leather Industry Association will jointly hold the fair.

The trade fair aims to encourage and improve leather export opportunities and promote the access of Africa and Ethiopia to the international trade market.

The plan is held once a year.

At that time, investment forum and Pan African competition forum will also be held in Addisababa.

It is expected that there will be more than 270 exhibitors at home and abroad and more than 3000 guests attending the fair.

The Ethiopia leather industry has been developing continuously, and has increased by 20%% every year in the past four years.
