China'S First Annual Volume Of Express Delivery Billion

The State Post Office announced that the annual volume of Chinese express business increased from 1 billion in 2006 to 9 billion 190 million in 2013, with an average annual growth rate of 37.3%.

Express business income accounted for the first time over 60% of the total business income, reaching 61.5%, an increase of 7.7 percentage points over the same period last year.
From the domestic market, the strong growth of business volume mainly comes from the eastern region.
In the first three quarters, the volume of express business in the eastern region increased by more than the national average, while the Yangtze Delta, the Pearl River Delta and the Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei three key areas, the volume of express business grew faster than the national level. The total volume of the express business was 6 billion 800 million, accounting for 72.4% of the national express delivery volume.
Among them, since August, Guangzhou has accumulated more business than Shanghai and Beijing. In the first 9 months, it continued to rank first in 940 million places, becoming the first city in the country to have over 100 million business volume per month.
Last year, "double eleven", China's express business volume exceeded 300 million, but the situation of "burst warehouse" has been significantly reduced compared to the previous years, indicating that the construction of domestic express network has matured.
When the domestic express industry is striding forward, cross border logistics is considered as a bottleneck and new challenge for China's express delivery industry in the "10 billion era".
According to the data released by the state post office yesterday, the volume of international and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan accounts for only 2.4% of the total volume of the express business in the first three quarters. On the one hand, the volume of mainland express business is too large. On the other hand, the international business market is currently dominated by the four international express giants (DHL, FedEx, UPS and TNT).
