Shilin Sani Embroidery Inheritor Was Elected Ambassador Of China Textile Heritage

Recently, at the third China Textile intangible cultural heritage conference organised by the Organizing Committee of the "pioneering Cup" 2019 China Textile heritage Promotion Ambassador selection activities, Bi Yueying, the successor of stone forest Sani embroidery intangible cultural heritage, was elected the 2019 year's "pioneer Cup" Chinese textile heritage Promotion Ambassador through the Internet voting and the final selection of the expert jury.

As the "pioneer Cup" ambassador for the promotion of Chinese textile heritage, Bi Yueying will be invited to attend the third China Textile intangible cultural heritage conference hosted by the China Textile Industry Federation in from November 2 to 4, 2019.

At the age of 61, Bi Yueying was born in the Kunming family traditional culture preservation area, the family of the great old dug village in Shilin County, as a representative successor to the national project of the Yi nationality (Sani) embroidery. Bi Yueying actively participated in the exhibition and activities of the intangible cultural heritage at all levels, and was awarded the "special expert" by Yunnan University of Nationalities Career Technical College and Yunnan Arts University respectively. Its embroidery works have participated in cultural exchanges in South Korea, Australia and other countries. Awards have been won in various competitions and activities organized by cultural departments at various levels, and hundreds of embroidery products have been collected or acquired by museums, colleges and cultural departments. Bi Yueying has made important contributions to the protection and inheritance of the "Yi people (Sani) embroidery".
